Wedding Diaries: the reception

THE PHOTOGRAPHER

 Our wedding from start to finish was taken by Tara B. Oh she is amazing. Everyone should invest in a great photographer, because they can make a simple wedding look exquisite.

THE VENUE


My family's new backyard. Intimate, casual, beautiful. And it was the perfect weather.

THE FOOD

He loves Italian sodas. I love ice cream and toppings. It was a warm August evening. What better combination?

THE CAKE

The lovely Ameri Reading made our cake, and it was beautiful. The outside was elegant (and not made out of gross fondant!), and the inside was Funfetti :)

THE DANCE

First, he danced with his mother, and I danced with dad. Then, dad handed me over. It was all very traditional and wonderful.

Then I threw my bouquet

and we got out of there. But the getaway is a different story :)

A huge thanks goes to Krysti and everyone else who did so much for this reception. The kiddos weeded the yard for hours, the cousins tied bows, and the bridal party helped Carly with the flowers. I couldn't have done it without the hours and hours that so many people put it on our behalf. Thank you everyone for making our day so perfect!
